The latest episode of “Stories on Stories”: behind the scenes of Avicii’s iconic album
The documentary miniseries Stories on Stories dedicates its third and final episode to exploring the creative process behind Avicii’s landmark album Stories, ten years after its release. Available online since January 9, 2026, this new installment offers fans and electronic music enthusiasts an unprecedented immersion into the world of Tim Bergling, aka Avicii.
A unique look at the making of “Stories”
Produced by Pophouse Entertainment in collaboration with the Avicii Estate, the series revisits key moments that shaped one of the most iconic albums in the Swedish DJ’s career. Released in 2015, Stories marked a turning point in modern electronic music and continues to influence an entire generation of artists.
Named “The Lost Tapes”, this third episode offers a unique dive into the studio sessions where Avicii and his collaborators — including Wyclef Jean — created now-classic tracks like Broken Arrows, Ten More Days, Can’t Catch Me, and Pure Grinding. For nearly 14 minutes, never-before-seen archive footage and intimate sequences reveal the origins of the songs that make up this legendary album.
Tim Bergling’s artistic approach highlighted
Far from just the portrait of the “DJ superstar,” the series highlights Avicii’s rigorous and sensitive working method. It reveals how he closely collaborated with singers, songwriters, and producers to transform a raw idea into a finished song. Fans can thus observe the perfectionism, creativity, and open-mindedness that characterized the Swedish producer’s artistic process.
The first two episodes, broadcast at the end of 2025, already allowed viewers to relive the creation of tracks like For A Better Day and Sunset Jesus, featuring notable contributions from artists such as Alex Ebert, Gavin DeGraw, and Rami Yacoub.
Celebrating Avicii’s legacy worldwide
Stories on Stories is part of a broader effort to preserve the musical and human legacy left by Avicii. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Stories, several initiatives have been launched: a pop-up store in Stockholm, broadcasts of historical performances, and tributes at the largest international electronic music festivals.
The entire mini-series is freely accessible on YouTube, allowing fans worldwide to (re)discover the key moments that shaped this essential album. The release of the final episode also coincides with a new broadcast of the Stories Megamix, providing a comprehensive perspective on this major project.
