Overmono release Diamond Cut, a five-module bus processor with Project Miracle

The plugin is named after the Welsh duo’s own track and includes a six-mode limiter and a psychoacoustic bass enhancer.

Welsh duo Overmono have released Diamond Cut, a bus processor built around their own mixing workflow. They developed it with Finnish plug-in company Project Miracle and named it after their track of the same name. It is the first plugin from Project Miracle Ltd. Development began in 2023.

The plugin has five processing modules. A six-mode limiter runs from clean to aggressive. Balance is an EQ system that nudges a signal toward a chosen tonal character. Soft Saturation adds harmonic excitement without clipping. Weight, a psychoacoustic bass enhancer, adds perceived low end without piling on energy, and Width adds side signal to make a sound feel bigger.

The interface also has short-term, integrated and true-peak loudness metering, input and output controls, a preset browser, and options for oversampling and dithering.

Overmono says the plugin reflects what they wanted from a compressor/limiter. “It preserves transients, smashes trails, glues and crunches the end of the chain in a way we can’t find anywhere else,” they say. “It’s raw loudness in the mix.”

Diamond Cut is available now for £89/$109/€99. A 14-day free trial and a rent-to-own plan are also available through Project Miracle.
