Police log dozens of jewelry-robbery and pepper-spray reports during ADE
Fifteen people reportedly went to the first-aid station after incidents at clubs including SugarFactory and Ziggo Dome. Nobody was seriously hurt.
At Gashouder on October 24, the music was briefly turned down during Franky Rizardo’s set while guests were searched on their way out. It was one of a series of incidents behind dozens of reports of jewelry robberies and pepper-spray attacks filed with Amsterdam police during the Amsterdam Dance Event, Groove reported.
Canadian attendee Nabil Farah says a thief ripped a gold chain from his neck at an Adriatique show in SugarFactory. When he looked for the culprit, someone pepper-sprayed him in the face from close range. Similar incidents hit RAW-Factory, Ziggo Dome and Kromhouthal. Fifteen people reportedly went to the first-aid station, and nobody was seriously hurt.
There have been no arrests so far. Police are reported to be requesting camera footage for the investigation.
