GForce is giving away its ARP Axxe and Mellotron M400 emulations

Both instruments are free through the end of November, as GForce adds monthly and annual subscriptions next to its lifetime licenses.

Through the end of November, GForce is giving away a Mellotron M400 and its emulation of the 1975 ARP Axxe. Claiming either takes a GForce account and the company’s combined installer. CDM reported the giveaway alongside a new GForce site, new branding and new pricing.

The original Axxe was essentially a stripped-down ARP Odyssey with one oscillator and one filter. Paddy Kingsland used one at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and Herbie Hancock and 808 State played it too. GForce’s emulation is the simpler sibling of its Oddity3, and it carries the usual GForce extras: on-demand polyphony, the x-modifier modulation feature with its own dedicated envelope, a unison mode and an effects section.

The pricing change adds subscriptions in three tiers: Essential, Core and Ultimate. Each comes with monthly and annual billing, at $12.99 to $22.99 a month or $129 to $229 a year. Lifetime licenses are still available and are on sale now.
