The British turntablism crew plays together for the first time in over two decades at KOKO in London on November 14, and goes into the DMC Hall of Fame.
Scratch Perverts will be inducted into the DMC Hall of Fame at KOKO in London on November 14, during the DMC World DJ Championships, Magnetic Magazine reported. The group will also play a special reunion performance.
The championships, presented by Technics, are on their 41st edition. The performance lineup is A-Trak, Skratch Bastid, JFB, Monie Love, DJ Noize and The Golden Era Allstars. JFB is preparing a set on seven Technics turntables. Monie Love returns to an event tied to the start of her professional music career. The UK BBoy Champs Allstars will run live breaking battles on the same bill.
Scratch Perverts won several individual and group DMC titles through the 1990s and early 2000s. The group won the DMC World Team Championship in 1999. Its history includes DJs such as Tony Vegas, Prime Cuts and Mr Thing.
Competitors enter in four categories: Classic, Open, Scratch and Supremacy. Supremacy is a head-to-head format in which competitors face each other in successive rounds.
