Sónar, ‘dead’ days ago, returns June 2027 with Carl Cox and Peggy Gou
Days after a cryptic ‘Sónar is dead’ post, the Barcelona festival has named its first acts, including Goldie, Bonobo and Jessie Ware.
Sónar Barcelona returns June 17 to 19, 2027, with Carl Cox, Peggy Gou, KI/KI, Romy, Oscar Mulero and Honey Dijon in the first wave of names, 909originals reported.
On October 27, the festival posted a cryptic update on its website and social channels. It read “Sónar is dead” above the years 1994 to 2026.
Other DJs confirmed include Collabs3000 (Chris Liebing & Speedy J), Job Jobse, Aurora Halal live, Goldie live, Donato Dozzy & Batu and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. The first live announcements include Bonobo, Tokischa, Yung Lean, Frost Children, Jessie Ware and Cornelius.
Sónar by Day returns to central Barcelona, where the festival began in 1994. The daytime program will be held at a waterfront location from Thursday to Saturday, with the music program and the Sónar+D creative hub at the same site. Sónar by Night returns to Fira Gran Via on Friday and Saturday, June 18 and 19, across four stages: SonarClub, SonarPub, SonarLab and SonarCar.
The wider Sónar Week adds Sónar District at Parc del Fòrum and a return of Sónar Kids, which sold out in 2026. OFFSónar runs Thursday to Sunday at Poble Espanyol.
First tickets are on sale on the Sónar website. The international program includes NU Festival in Tokyo, March 12 to 14, 2027, and Sónar Istanbul on April 9 and 10.
