Korg shows Phase8 browser app for the first time at ADE
Phase8 Product Lead Lukas Hartmann and engineer Iarla Scaife host the live session. Korg also has eight hardware products at the Gear Test Lab.
Korg will show the Phase8 Companion App in public for the first time at Amsterdam Dance Event (October 21-25), MusicTech reported. It is a browser-based tool with a visual interface for global parameter control, plus step sequencing, modulation and random sequence generation.
The preview comes Friday, October 23 at 4PM, as part of a live sequencing and performance session with the Phase8. Product Lead Lukas Hartmann and Lead Embedded Software Engineer Iarla Scaife will host. They will also work with additional hardware, and attendees can put questions to the team in a Q&A.
The Phase8 is Korg’s partially acoustic synth. It uses 13 steel resonators tuned to the chromatic scale, and eight can be installed at a time, giving eight voices. It began shipping in March/April.
Korg will also be at the Gear Test Lab at Het Ketelhuis, Westergas, from October 21 to 23, with hardware spanning synthesizers, effects, mixing and rhythm production:
- KAOSS PAD V
- NTS-3 kaoss pad kit
- NTS-4 mixer kit
